Let me introduce you to Rui Farinha (@ruifarinhaa), he is a visionary Portuguese photographer and filmmaker whose lens captures not only the essence of life's most profound moments but works with the most amazing brands and personalities to create powerful audiovisual projects. He partnered with us to help us create a portfolio of photographs and videos in order to communicate our services and showcase the wonders of Colombia.
Little we knew that this partnership could evolve into something else. We embarked on a transformative journey while travelling around Colombia that redefined his perspective on storytelling and travel and our perspective of how immersive our trips can be.
As we traversed Colombia's diverse landscapes and vibrant communities, Rui's camera became a conduit for capturing the raw beauty and rich cultural tapestry of this enchanting country. From the bustling streets of Bogotá to the serene coffee plantations of Salento, each frame bore witness to the magic of Colombia.
But it wasn't just the landscapes that left a lasting impression on Rui—it was the people he encountered along the way. Their warmth, resilience, and zest for life inspired him to delve deeper into the heart and soul of Colombia, uncovering stories of hope, joy, and transformation.
Upon returning from Colombia, Rui embarked on his most ambitious project at that moment: "Vivir Bacano," a documentary that encapsulates his experience in Colombia in all its richness and complexity. Through breathtaking visuals and heartfelt storytelling, "Vivir Bacano" invites viewers to embark on their own journey of discovery, celebrating the beauty of life lived to the fullest.
“Talking about the trip to Colombia is a very important subject for me! We started a very beautiful partnership that set in motion one of my greatest dreams: having the opportunity to know and tell a story of a different culture; a unique culture that has captured my heart! For me, witnessing Rui, as a foreigner, talking about my country with such passion and love, was heart melting and being able to watch what his eyes were seeing and listen to what his ears were listening to during his days in Colombia, was mind blowing, tear dropping.
I will be forever grateful for having the opportunity to travel with him and show him my beloved country; forever grateful for the amazing frames and audiovisual portfolio he made for us.
